12 weeks plus 3 and anxiety is sending me crazy :-(

Hi all

As some of u know I am 12 weeks + 3 pregnant. Saw a lively baby at 11weeks + 5 and was overjoyed as i had mmc and ectopic last year. so you would think I would be happy.... no I am not far from it.

The obsession with something could still go wrong has taken over my life. every cramp, twinge backache etc and I am panicking. This morning I have stressed so much that I am off for a very expensive private scan this afternoon to calm me down.

I feel the worry has taken over my life. I cannot stop overthinking. I just dont know what to do. I just know I cannot afford a scan each week to calm me down....

Sorry to go on and on

xxxx

Hope your scan went ok today

All normal to be terrified...I have a doppler to save my sanity..I'd recommend one without hesitation

XxX

Definitely get a doppler, I plan on buying or renting one in the next couple weeks b/c I'm just like you, a nervous wreck who keeps thinking that something will go wrong with this pregnancy. Hang in there!

Your rainbow is going to be amazing. Its been nerve wracking for me too, especially as we have to have a cvs to make sure our baby doesn't have kidney disease. This one isn't even a carrier but still worrying. I'm not getting a doppler though because last time I got obsessed

After 5 losses we got pregnant with a sticky one, but I still had so much fear. It is normal. I got a doppler, and it was the best $50 I ever spent. I could hear the baby from about 10 weeks. I would check every other day when I was really feeling anxious. Now baby boy is moving around a lot so I need less reassurance but it was so helpful to calm my nerves and actually was a really sweet thing for hubby and I to do together.

I know just how you feel.... I'm 15 weeks and still scared of every move.... Or in my case lack of moves... Very symptomless so far but saw health baby at 13+4.

I'm gonna advise against a Doppler... My midwife says that if you try and don't get a hb you will just make yourself over anxious and that will do the baby more harm than good. Also she said a lot of people mistake their own heartbeat for the babys too which can the lead to false positive ness... It's just my opinion (based on midwife) I know some people have used them successfully...
