I got a really intense cramp- normal?

Hey, I'm sure I'm being paraniod, but lastnight I got a really sharp, intense cramp...only lasted about 30 secs. I have had light to moderate cramping off and on since around the time I got my BFP, but this one felt a lot stronger. It scared me of course because of my m/c's. I haven't bled at all. A little brownish/clear spotting after about a week ago and thats all. Has anyone else had this happen?

I had some pretty strong cramps around 5 and 6 weeks. I was freaked out because everything said "mild" cramps were normal, and I did not feel as though mine were mild. Anyway, they became frequent (a few times a day) and I had no bleeding and early scans kept looking normal I calmed down. After the 6 or 7 week mark they stopped until about 16 weeks, so I think it is just my body and muscles stretching. This is my first pregnancy that has gone past 6 weeks so I guess everything in there just needed to make room.

Sorry you are worried, I totally understand. But no bleeding is a good sign. Can you get in for an early scan soon to put your mind at ease?

That's why I was freaked out too because everything says "mild" cramping and some of them are sharp and hurt pretty bad! I'm glad you experienced this too though and you're 21 weeks! Awesome! I do get to go in early, at 7 weeks Thanks

Hey Tuckie,

I got a shooting pain about a week ago as I was falling asleep at night. It lasted only a few seconds, and I believe I had one the day before too. I called the doctor's office the next morning to ask them about something unrelated, and when the nurse asked me if everything else was alright, I told her about my pain. She wanted me to come in that very day because of my previous mc, and I did. I spoke with the doc and he didn't seem worried, and he does specialize in high risk pregnancies. I was able to get an ultrasound a few days later and saw a hb. This was around 6.5 weeks.

Thanks for your response too Dahlia, makes me feel better that yours ended up being ok. I noticed I seem to feel c cramping or "pulling" sensation down there right when I first get out of bed too. Other symptoms are still in full force though (very sore boobs, heartburn, tired all the time, peeing a lot)...so I'm not too worried. Still hoping for the best, but nervous as hell!
