yes... first mc. i do have a baby boy, so i know it is possible for me to carry a pregnancy all the way through. what your mw said is very comforting and hopeful for me! i guess they cant really do anything so early in the pregnancy anyway. i will call my doc in a week or so (hopefully the little one keeps sticking!!!) and see what she wants me to do. i have heard its hard for them to date the pregnancy if its right after a mc so they might want to scan earlier?

Mine said ok to try straight away when I went to private scan. from what I have researched they only like you to wait one cycle so the pregnancy is easier to date?

I think medical professionals want you to wait a cycle BECAUSE of dating purposes. I just used the date of my MC as my LMP date even though I made it clear that it was a MC and not really a period.. And thats what they are basing my due date (April 10) off of. My first scan was at 14 weeks and by that time it can be harder to date a pregnancy because I think after 10 weeks ( cant remember) then babies can grow at slightly different rates so it is less accurate the further along you are. Based off my scan I would be due on April 17.

It will confuse them for a while at first as you explain to everyone who asks when your LMP was that it was actually a MC but they will get used to it. I believe it was september that I had my scan and when they'd ask about LMP I'd have to explain that officially it was at the end of May, I got pregnant in June and MC'd July 5th.. And then found out I was preg AGAIN August 5th. So I'd count July 5th as my "LMP"
