Patchwork Quilt for Baby

Hi everyone!

I am thinking about making a patchwork quilt for baby. I am talking about something very simple here, as I have not used a sewing machine since I was in Home Economics when I was 13!

I have found some excellent links online with good step-by-step instructions.

Can anyone recommend any good places to pick up some nice patterned fabric? Also, if anyone has made a quilt, could you please post a pic?

Thanks x x

I had similar thoughts! ;D

I'd *like* it if all the women in both sides of the family can do a bit - but I want them to do it like I want them to do it - so this idea could fail miserably

But yes, I was going to say ebay - you get quilt squares precut in a bunch of matching fabrics which means you know it will be pretty ;D

I am making one for my baby and I got the squares off of ebay Im going with Winnie the Pooh because that is what the nursery is decorated in! my grandmother made quilts before she died she was teaching me to make one but we never got to finish it so Im just going by what I saw her do! but I am making it the old fashioned way without the sewing machine.
