Do they remove ovarian cysts if they cause you pain?

(posted this in second tri as well so I apologize if you have read this!)
For those of you that have had Ovarian cysts during pregnancy, what did you do to manage the pain, and if you had pain did the doctor want to remove it? Mine has really been bothering me off and on with pain since they found it at my last visit and I'm not sure if they would consider removing it if it is causing pain or just have u take something or what? Any advice or imput would be great!! thx

My pain and cyst cleared up by 20 week scan. Pain was pretty bad around 12 weeks though.

Personaly i think it depends on how bad and big the cyst is and if they think it will rupture! I didnt know i had a cyst till it burst at 3 weeks pregnant and gave me alot of pain and internal bleeding - they told me they wud need to remove it if it continued to bleed and only being 3 weeks pregnant.. the outcome wouldnt have been good. But i refused them removing it i was on bed rest for 2 weeks bleeding stopped all was fine it did cause me discomfort sometimes but aslong as theres no danger they dont need to remove it. My cyst was sooo big! But it also disapered by my 20week scan. If you have any concerns about it u should ask ur midwife because different hosp follow different guidlines of when it needs to be removed for pain im sure they would just recomend pain releif x

Thank you ladies! I go back when I am 18 weeks so I guess we will check up on it then. If I can't manage until then I suppose I could call about some kind of pain management but trying to just chug on through! Hopefully it will have shrunk by then! It seemed to just be fluid filled and not one of those dermoids which is a good thing I am hearing. Just scared of having it burst like some ladies have, it sounds excruciating!
