My diets been pretty terrible through pregnancy as well!, id rather have a takeaway rather than something healthy lol, pretty bad i know. But from what the ladies have suggested vegetable wise, i cant think of any more! . Ive only just started eating breakfast again as before i couldn't really face the thought of food in a morning, make me feel a bit nauseous.
I could have just started this thread with this same paragraph!
Thank you all so much!!! These are all such great and wonderful responses! School starts up for me again today. School is going to be a huge challenge for me to keep eating and eating healthy. I am hoping veggies will make good portable snacks for class. They aren't super smelly, and even ones that are don't usually offend the person sitting next to you. In fact, they are usually begging for some. For home though, I am really wanting to try the stir fry. I've never had it, so maybe I should go out for some so I know what it should taste like! Or at least find out what I don't like in it. I know I want to get some of those little miniature baby ears of corn I've seen in Asian food.
Again, thank you all.
Not sure if anyone has suggested this yet, but how about hard boiled eggs or beef jerky?
The eggs aren't really great for carrying around with ya for a snack, but the beef jerky would be great (or whatever kind of meat you like).
Not veggies but it's still a snack idea if you're in the mood for something meaty
^^ love love love hard boiled eggs & jerky. Good advice.
As far as the veggies I haven't read all responses but my favorite are definetly carrots, celery and cucumbers!!! The cucumbers I eat with a bit of salt and lemon juice YUMMMM. Fruits, I eat a lot of apples and sometimes I'll dip them in peanut butter which is also YUMMMM! I'm a horrible eater as well and veggies & fruit are sooo expensive, even though eating out isn't cheap either but I'm a full time student and I work full time so I simply don't have time
