Lewis will be 27 months when this baby arrives and I'm torn too. I honestly can't can't decide. On 1 hand I think Lewis should be able to walk more by then but I worry about him running off. I know that wasn'y any help.

I will add though that 1 option we are considering is a buggyboard with a seat

I'd probably tend towards a double buggy..or maybe one of the convertible ones, so you can use it as a double for a year or so and then have it as a single for the little one.

I don't want to put you off buggy boards, but keep in mind that they're not made by the buggy's manufacturers most of the time...and that's for a reason. they put extra stresses and strains on your buggy, so it may break sooner than it would without the buggy board.
I'm not sure if there are ones that are better than others...but I'd definitely get researching!

Another option may be for you to get a sling/wrap/carrier for your newborn and still use your old buggy for your older child.

I will have a 23 month old when my daughter is born. Plan on double wrapping (baby wearing) if I need to.

Mine will be 22 months when LO is born and we are definately having a double. We are buying second hand though as I cant justify the money for the short period it will be used.

sorry...probably a stupid question...but how does this work? will you have the newborn in the front and the 2 year old on your back? That sounds exhausting!

good for you though! I wish I was that committed to baby carrying...but I think I'll just give up once they get too heavy...never mind carrying two!

Also...where would you put your change bag?

Im going through this at minute I'm due day after ds2 2nd bday! If money was no object I'd get a iCandy peach!! But its not and it's actually not practical for my small car. I wouldn't even think about a double but I have school run to do and I only have a lightweight buggy so buggy board would fit it. I think I'm just going to get a lightweight double like a maclaren twin techno, something that won't break the bank but is easy to get up and down and fits in my boot!!! Not asking much
