Age of consent in Australia, QLD is 18 for sodomy and 16 for all other sexual acts (referred to as carnal knowledge in legislation)

I got with my hubby when I was 16 and he was 26, I'm now 22 and he's 32, we're married, have a mortgage and have a better relationship than certain people who I know that are close in age, I believe him to be my soulmate and therefore age is irrelevent. Hubby's manager is also 32 and married to his wife who's 22.

It doesn't always work, my friends mum got a divorce when she was in her teens and their age gap was about 16 years. Then again I think age is still irrelevent here too.

As long as your relationship works and your happy thats all that matters, and I find now in my 20's the age gap seems less important to people.

I wasn't asking her if it was legal to be judgmental at all. I genuinely was curious because while I know the age of consent in Australia was 16, I thought it was only allowed to be with people up to 18 years old. It's obviously not correct so I don't know why I got told that.

Anyway, I'm sorry your OH is being funny about sex and it does sound like he's either stressed at the idea of becoming a father or he doesn't feel comfortable being so close to the baby while during. Try bringing him to the midwife with you and get her to reassure him it's totally safe, that's what I did with my OH.

I've always had a higher sex drive than my husband, but during pregnancy I've had to beg for it if I want it at all. And the last two times were... unsuccessful, to put it nicely. So, I've given up in the hopes that he finds me more appealing once there's no longer a child inside of me!

....
My partner was of the same opinion, I turned 17 the month we started dating and he was scared to do anything with me because he was turning 20 that year.
Tho a funnier story still is the year before (so I'm 16) my friend and I roped him into helping us with our film assignment. I was playing a school girl who was selling herself for drug money and he was playing as my friend's boyfriend who was paying my character money. In one of the deleted scenes he's happily chatting away to the camera guy about star wars and you can see he's really enjoying the convo, his face is all lit up and he's smiling. I then sit on his lap ready for the scene to start and he looses all emotions and looks completely bored. At the time I thought he didn't like me, turns out he was thinking of anything but me so he didn't get a boner

I think even if they know its fine, we've had sex no problems, it just slows down sometimes. I'm not too fussed as long as it picks up at some point in the future
