Yes the Osnaths are something else They are a dream to push as well ... they just glide along like they are pushing themselves

I love the Prams of Distinction site too But for buying prams ebay is often the best bet ... I picked up the Osnath for £82 on ebay Yes she does need a new hood and apron but I sew them myself so it's not too expensive to replace them, and apart from that she is in excellent condition for her age.

You make reborns?? Wow!! Pictures please .... I'm only about an hour from Peterborough, so if you wanted to borrow one of my 'girls' for display at a show then you would be more than welcome

Pram Porn

And yes - getting on a bus with one is impossible, but they do fit nicely into the back of a London type taxi if you need them to

They aren't that hard to get hold of on ebay these days and there are a couple of vintage pram groups on FB where members often sell their prams privately to fellow enthusiasts for reasonable prices

If you wanted to buy one in need of restoration I'd be happy to advise you and help you out with restoring it ... I re-spray, re-upholster and sew new hoods and aprons for a hobby - it's not as hard as it looks I promise

Mind you, going out with one of them is never a quick trip as you have to allow for everyone you meet stopping you to admire both pram and baby My Grandson loves to ride in them as he is on eye level with everyone and the centre of attention wherever we go ... when we take two or three out at once (Grandson, Granddaughter and Great Nephew) we literally stop traffic

I have had 5 pushchairs. I had a petite star dot with carrycot, then i bought an obaby zezu, Then i got a luna, and i also have 2 umbrella strollers.
I've sold the luna and the petite star and i now desperatly want a 'pram' style such as the babystyle ones.

How do these work for kids a bit older that want to sit up? Do they tilt up or have an attachment or something?

The more modern ones - like the pink one - have a kind of permanent triangular 'flap' under the mattress which lifts up to provide a backrest

The older ones don't, but because they are so big and roomy they have special cushions which provide a backrest ... like this one which was made (with matching bedding) for this particular pram. Obviously I've made this one very frilly, but I have others which are completely plain - when not in use they are stored under the mattress boards, in the 'belly' of the pram.

As you can see older babies are strapped in using ordinary reins - there are D Ring attachments on all models to clip the rein extensions to

My Grandson is 18 months old in this picture and he still fits in it now, at 2 ... he also has a special pram seat which fits across the front of the pink one, so that he can ride on the front of the pram while his sister is in it. The suspension is so amazing that the pram doesn't even dip when he's riding tandem.

Alternatively the mattress board is in three padded parts that are individually removable ... so if I wanted to I could take the main mattress out (which is just there for added comfort), remove the middle board and let him sit with his legs down in the 'belly' (as if he were sitting in a pushchair). Like that the pram will take a 3 year old or older very easily .... At his age he doesn't really need the extra mattress as he rarely sleeps in the pram anyway... too busy nosying all around him

I'm looking at the hood ribbon in this picture and feeling that I need to say that this pram is scheduled for a complete overhaul this Summer ... including a new hood!
