So i thought it would be a good idea to get a doppler and i cant find anything i know i'm early stilljust a bit fustrating..i really thought i would hear the hb and now i'm fearing the worst..anyone else not found one at this stage but found one later?? Any tips?
From what ive read about them on here, they dont pick up the heartbeat till a little later in to pregnancy, so wouldnt worry, u could just be too early to hear anything yet, id love to get one myself, but as im a worrier anyway, id probly start panniking if i didnt hear any thing, you,ll probly pick it up in a few more weeks
Hey hun, I also agree whatwillbe i think that it is a little too early as the baby is still tiny, with my first pregnancy the MW could hear the heartbeat perfectly round 20+ weeks, i know it seems far off.
I got mine yesterday and got upset when I couldn't find anything- tried about 4 times!
Read somewhere that early on its best to try in the morning on a full bladder and empty stomach. Tried this morning and there it was! I could only find it for a few seconds and then I would lose it and it was higher than I had expected it to be.
I had mine for days before I found anything which was at 11+5. It is worrying when you don't hear a HB, but 9 weeks is very early to be trying. But once you do find it, it can be a daily reassurance. Xx
I find it's easiest to find first thing in the morning with an empty bladder. It is really quiet though, you need to be very attentive and hold it in the same spot for a good ten seconds or so listening. Then only move a milimeter and hold for another ten seconds. Angle it in different directions and hold for ten seconds listening. For me, once I find a really loud swooshing noise, it's somewhere around there that I find the heartbeat. Most times just milimeters away from the loud swooshing. And it's very quiet. The Doppler doesn't even pick up the noise to count the beats most times. But I can hear it
I wouldn't advise trying so early. When I went in at 10 weeks they couldn't hear a heartbeat. They did an ultra sound on my tummy then to confirm that baby was there. I wasn't able to hear anything till my 14w appointment.
