Never had this in my other pregnancies, but my sense of smell is really overwhelming. Cant stand DH anywhere near me, even after 1 beer, because the smell makes me want to be sick! Can smell what the neighbours are cooking, can smell which shower gel DH has used, and again, smells awful ....it probably isnt, but all smells are just intensified . Anyone else, or just me?
I'm the same my dh was reading the newspaper in bed yesterday morning & every time he turned the page it made me sick the waft of smell was just awful, everything smells yuk, even coffee that I usually love - cant wait to feel normal again
hahaha yes im exactly the same! have been trying to go out with friends being the designated driver but the slightest whiff of alcohol makes me throw up! Also told my friend a few days ago (probably shouldve thought before i spoke!) that she smelled overwhelmingly of freshly made sandwiches, her face was priceless!
Omg I know what you mean! My husband was eating chips and salsa the other day and I told him that his salsa smelled horrible! Ofcourse he didn't notice. I could smell it all the way from the bathroom! And sometimes when I go in the kitchen, I can smell the brass handles on the cupboards and drawers! Soooo weird! It smells awful by the way. Nothing worse than the smell of intensified brass when pregnant.
Me too! For me it's my house that really bothers me. I try to keep it pretty clean, and have never thought it stunk before. All of a sudden when I leave and come home, it STINKS when I walk in the door. I smell whatever I cooked for dinner the night before, the garbage, the diaper pail, the cat box. It literally makes me want to run for the hills!! My DH thinks I'm insane, and that it smells fine.. ugh.
Is this one of the symptoms that gets easier in the second tri? I can smell red wine from across the table and it smells like vinegar! Also I can't stand the smell of fish, coffee, bacon, fried onions and any nasty smells in the street or on the bus are so intense!
