Lower backpain and cramping in very early pregnancy?

I just got my BFP today and am so excited! However, I've been having mild to moderate lower back pain and cramping. They seem to come and go but are present more often than not.

I'm just wondering if this is normal (I'm only 3w4d) in early pregnancy? I seem to remember some mild AF-like cramps with DS but they definitely didn't start this early.

Yay! Hi and congrats. I remember you from TTC and TWW forums! I hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy!! I had non stop cramping up until this week (ill be 7 weeks tomorrow). I had several posts about the cramping. I literally ran to the bathroom several times a day convinced I was getting my period. I also had the back ache, but my cramping was awful! It must be ok though because i saw a little beating heart yesterday! I do have cysts on both ovaries though, nothing to worry about. to you for a sticky little bean!

Thank you both.

I definitely shouldn't have looked up signs of a miscarriage since a lot of them seem to be signs of early pregnancy as well!

I was the exact same Hun, I was cramping before my period was due so just thought I was coming on, but when it didn't and I found out I was pregnant I thought it was a bad thing. But I went for an early scan and saw my lil bean with a HB so try not to worry easier said than done ano. Also I found that I've got a tilted uterus and she said that could be why I get back pain, so maybe that could be a suggestion? Xx

Thanks. I'm so happy that there are other people who have experienced the exact same thing.

I'm not having any spotting or bleeding and I'd assume if the cramping was related to miscarriage I probably would be????

I have them too had them on and off since I found out last week. I just put a bit of heat and does the trick and loosens the muscles. C
