will I be able to see baby's heartbeat at 5 weeks and 6 days?
Im going to get a scan tomorrow, Its my second scan for this pregnancy, I went at what I thought was 5 weeks and two days and all they could see was a sac (doctor said I must come see him as soon as I find out im pregnant, so I still waited a week before I went to see him)
He said I must come back in two weeks, im now going back 3 days earlier than two weeks because I have been having cramps and im worried...
acording to my last period I should be 6 weeks and 5 days along.... but I think I ovulated late on day 19 not 14 ... so I guess its even a week less then?
Do you think I will be able so see the baby's heartbeat? I really hope and pray there is something more than a sac this time!!
My m/w said she wouldn't give my my early scan any earlier than 8 weeks as there are so many women who get scans at 6-7 thinking they should see something, and when they don't, they worry, even though a lot of the time everything is fine.
I think you should see a heartbeat starting at 6 weeks, but only with an internal scan. Some women do report seeing it earlier.
hiya hun , i had scan at 4wk+5 just a sac visible, i went back at 5wk+5 an the sac had grown an the scan lady saw the hb !! very very tiny me an dp couldnt see it but the scan lady assured us it was there xxxx good luck xxx
I think its okey if I dont see a heart beat tomorrow... I just want to see something inside the sac, to rule out a blighted ovum or etopic pregnancy because of the cramps.... stupid internet!!! If I haven't red about it I wouldn't even have known about it and I wouldn't be worried
Hi hun, how did it go? I hope you saw more than I did yesterday - I had an early scan but we could only see the pregnancy sac and the yolk sac. The doctor said he could see what might have been the fetal pole but he couldn't be sure cos it was so small. I was 6+4. He has booked me back in for a follow up scan on 20th March when I should be 8 weeks.
