Worst. Bloat. Ever.

I've been lucky enough to avoid morning sickness and other unpleasant first trimester symptoms, but this bloat just doesn't quit! I have also been belching all day. I've been trying to avoid salty foods, but the bloat is making me feel like I'm the size of a house. Any suggestions? It's getting to the point where I woke up super early today since I was unable to sleep. My cats want to lay on my stomach but when they do that kneading thing I flick them between the eyes. It doesn't hurt, but soooo uncomfortable!

I am very bloated too and burping non stop. I'm starting to show a little, but under my rib cage is bubbled out to from bloat. I look like I have 2 bumps. It's really ugly. I haven't slept well in weeks either. My back is so terribly painful I don't know what to do anymore. I'm at work right now and can't concentrate I'm in so much pain. I need to talk to the Dr about this sciatic pain. My bloating and back are so bad I can no longer lay on my stomach (because I feel like I'm laying on a ball) and i can't lay on my back either because i feel like my bladder is going to explode even if I don't have to pee. I'm exhausted. I see the Dr today and will let you know if she give me any advice.

I had back pain (and surgery) before getting pregnant, so I don't give it too much thought anymore.

For sleeping you can try to get some pillows so that you are wedged at an angle. It provides extra support for your back, too. That was a life saving tip from my physical therapist. Sleeping with a pillow between my legs also helped tremendously. Sciatica is no fun and there isn't much you can take for the pain.

I am feeling really bloated as well and it is making me really uncomfortable. I have back pain, but I have herniated disks so I am not sure if the pain is getting worse from the pregnancy, or because I cut back on taking pain pills. My doctor has assured me many times that what I take will not harm the baby, but will do everything in my power to keep my little bean healthy.

Back to the bloating mine has been so bad this week it is like I am showing already and I am only about 5 weeks. It is definitely annoying

Starting to wonder if bloat is associated with back injury/pain and vice versa...

I had surgery on my herniated discs because they were compressing the spinal cord and some nerves. They couldn't find any pain medication that helped the pain go away, so now I just suck it up and deal with it I guess.

Husband came over to give a goodbye smooch as he was off to work and I belched in his face instead. Oops! I think I'm going to be one of those gross preggos. Good thing most of our friends are men.

I don't have any back problems, but my bloat is ridiculously terrible!

Worse yet, one of my husband's biggest pet peeves is gas release of any kind. Burping or breaking wind disgusts him, so I can only relieve the pressure when he's not around. It makes me miserable sometimes!

Funny how the men bust wind all day but the second we do it we have become gross or disgusting.

Saw Dr today. She is putting me in therapy for the back pain and didn't have any advice on the bloat! Sigh

Dang you, bloat!!!

That's good news about the physical therapy, though. It has done wonders for me! It also forces me to stay active while I have to spend time out of the gym. There are great long term benefits if you keep up with the exercises.

I think eating frequent small meals helps with indigestion. Also, examine what you are eating. Some food produce more gas than others. Obvious ones are beans. I have been craving beans and rice and have eaten it four days in a row and I woke up last night with the worst gas pains. hahaha!!!! I must stop eating that stuff.
