Got the munchies - need ideas for low cal snacks!

Hi ladies. It happened when I was pregnant last time too. I am STARVING!!!!! Now last time I gained about a stone (14lbs to you US ladies) by 11 weeks and I really truly intend for that NOT to happen again. But I'm just so hungry, my stomach is growling most of the day. Today I ate pretty much non-stop and clocked up well over 2400 calories which is really too much. I'm only 5'6"!
I need ideas for lower calorie snacks that I can take to work and just throw in my drawer for when I just have to eat. Nothing that requires refridgerating, microwaving, boiling, etc, as we don't have a kitchen at work.
I do eat fruit, and take wholewheat sandwiches for lunch so getting in a few healthy things already.
All ideas welcome xx

I love granola and it's great for whole grains. Just make sure that you get some that isn't packed with sugar. If you can pack a little insulated lunchbox with an ice pack, then you can bring some veggies. I pack lunches for my husband every day and after 12 hour days it's still cool in his lunchbox. I love celery and carrots, but I've backed off the carrots because of the sugar and I may already have gestational diabetes. I also eat clementines all day. They are so tasty and in season right now! I also eat a lot of almonds. I like crunchy foods (in case you couldn't tell by my other suggestions!), so sometimes I do crunchy peanut butter with the celery.

And just an FYI-my husband read that canned foods can have high levels of BPA, so pregnant women should avoid them.

Crackers are my saviour at the moment. Carrots and hummus are also a low calorie tasty snack, kid's yoghurt pots or an apple and peanut butter.

Fab ideas! I have ice packs so could definitely do something like veggies and houmous! I love houmous yay!! Celery and clems : ) Ooooh yummy!
I'm trying to avoid nuts at the moment as my DH may (or may not ) have a nut allergy. He thinks he has but even his Mum thinks he hasn't lol. But I'm playing it safe just in case asI wouldn't want to cause problems for bubs in the future. Love love love peanut butter though. Definitely going to miss it this pregnancy!

Have you seen Graze? (graze.com)
They deliver boxes of nice, mostly healthy goodies to your home or work. There's lots of variety & you can 'bin' things you don't like or dont want to eat so they don't send them.
It's not the cheapest thing ever (3.79 for a delivery of 4 little boxes) but you can have them as little or often as you like, it's my weekly treat & I think it's well worth it!
I've got a code to get your first box free, if you want it let me know, and there's no tie in so you can always cancel it at anytime.

(most people wont eat the whole 2 lb bag which ive done over a day or 2). special k makes some awesome and low cal crackers that have the nice salt and crunch without all the calories

What about some kind of rice cakes? I usually take fruit for snacks too which isn't bad on calories. I'm weird though that I tend to be less hungry when I'm pregnant.

That stuff looks good. Wish they had it in the US.
