I have had 3 of these massive cramps now, they feel like the cramps you get when you are going to need to run to sit on the toilet. Then I'm waiting to need to run to the toilet but then they ease off...
I'm not bleeding, no backache and my symptoms are still getting stronger so I'm thinking it may be from my constipation...
is anyone else having/had this?
I am going to buy some fibrogel today and see if that helps :/
Haven't had this this time, but in my last pregnancy I had this quite badly at about 6/7 weeks. I would wake in the night with the most terrible pains, ran to the loo convinced I must be bleeding/miscarrying and would eventually end up having to poo (soz, way TMI!!) but would always feel better straight after.
I've also had terrible cramps that feel like really bad period pains, when I went to the doctor she said it was normal and nothing to worry about just the uterus growing and your muscles making space. The uterus is normally the size of the palm of your hand and by 6 weeks it's the size of an orange so it does grow a lot in a short space of time.
I took some paracetamol sometimes to ease the pain.
I'm sure it's a normal pregnancy symptom, just not as talked about as morning sickness.
I've had this a few times and I had it with DD too. It's good that you feel better after using the loo... If you think it could be something worse, always get checked out. Severe cramps, even without bleeding still needs seeing to, and don't feel silly if it is just "toilet" pains! They're here to help us crazy preggo folk But like you said, you feel better after using the bathroom, so I'm sure it was just that.
Also some pain is due to the strectching going on in there, it feels like period pains to me.
I'm getting little cramps which I think are more to do with slight constipation than anything else, so you aren't alone. I'm eating piles of fruit, and drinking loads of water...I really don't want to take anything for it, but I also don't want to flipping explode!
it sounds like the type of pain i would associate with an upset stomach which i think is part of morning sickness - ms can affect u in numerous ways such as feeling sick, being sick or loose bowels. I have had terrible loose bowels on and off for weeks now - i know this is normal as i have been pregnant once before and got the loose bowels then. It is also associated with high hormone levels which mess with your digestive system.
I very rarely get period pain type cramps which go as quick as they come and there is a definite difference between the two.xxx
i get terrible pains and its due to IBS and constaption. dont envy anyone who gets this because its really not nice. i sometimes scream out because the pain is that bad it feels like contarctions its just horrible but wen i oi manage to finanly go it stops.
i take dolculeave and im aloud to take it, its very gentle and works by softening ure stools so it makes it easier to pass. i found fiber gells gave me mega cramps.
