Question about fetal dopplers..

First of all, we are so excited that we finally got to buy one
I did use it not too long ago with hubby, and we did find the heartbeat!
It wasn't as fast as i thought for some reason, but when i heard mine, i knew. lol

Only thing is, after a couple minutes of using it, i wanted to hear the heartbeat again, but when i was putting the doppler back in the same spot, (just where the baby is) i felt pressure pains. Like pain going throughhh my uterus where the doppler was sitting. And taking it off made the pain subside.

..Should i be worried about this?
Did i hurt the baby?

When I first tried to use it for the first time at 8 weeks, I had the same pains! I think it was a combination of feeling around everywhere (not knowing where to look) and pushing down too hard...

Now, because I usually know where baby is and because I don't ave to push down so much,it's not so ad...but I definitely have days where my uterus feels more tender, and I think that's just a normal part of your uterus growing for baby!

so I wouldn't worry too much, because I think baby is just fine!x

Read a page on fb called Doppler Danger. It's not dangerous for diagnostic purposes, but after reading around a bit, I won't be using my Angel Sounds this time around. Such frequent use isn't proven safe either. It's always a good idea to have a read around to make an informed decision.
