This is really starting to scare me. Everytime I wake up, walk up the stairs, or take a shower I find that my heart is pounding like crazy. So much that I have to sit down for long periods of time to calm down. Yesterday when I woke up from my nap it took my an hour for my heart to calm down.
Is this normal or should I call the doctor about it?
I've had this too! It seems to be intermittent for me and one time I put a heart monitor on and My heart was at 135 for ages and i struggled to get it down below 85. But it has been intermittent. I am at 8 weeks. I haven't mentioned it either. I don't know how you feel. But I get a bit dizzy too. But over all feel OK. Be interesting if this is a normal symptom
I did ask about the dizzyness and the doctor said that was completely normal. But my dizziness is unrelated to my heart going crazy. Mine is very regular and multipule times a day that is why it has me scared.
This is perfectly normal, just keep doing what your doing, no rushing about etc and if your heart rate does increase make sure you sit down & take it easy...very early on I ended up fainting cos i didn't listen to my body!
My heart races like hell awell just going up the stairs and stuff im glad you say its normal because i was thinking ive become really unfit! my OH laughs at me and sais out of breathe already, your so unfit!! lol
I just loaded up the dishwasher and that was enough for me. I feel so useless but know I cannot push it. Glad to know that it is normal. I almost fainted a few weeks back so I started taking it slower.
I've been having this too, and I know that when it happens, I've over done it a little and just pause to get my breath!
It's all something to do with the extra blood thats pumping round our bodies (something like up to 50% extra I read somewhere!) so it's not surprising that sometimes we feel a little out of breath, faint or like our hearts are gonna burst out of our chests!
