So I went in last week (Tuesday) for me second scan hoping to see a little fetal pole and heartbeat thinking I was about 7-8 weeks. We saw a fetal pole measuring 6.7mm which puts me at about 6 weeks 4 days and no heartbeat. The doctor began to educate me about a missed miscarraige but also said that MAYBE... we are just to early and need to wait. He rescheduled me for scan this coming Thursday and the time is dragging by.. My symptoms have progressed and some even feel a little worse which is so misleading.. Everything that I researched said anything measuring bigger than 5mm with out a heartbeat is concerning and that symptoms can continue or they can decrease. This is just so unfair.. I wish I knew either way and that if I did miscarry that my body would have done what it needed to do so that I would have the signs.. this way is just so wrong because you have no signs of anything happening.
Really praying for a miracle and that God has given this little bean a healthy heartbeat but looking for stories of any woman who have maybe gone through this regardless of the outcome...
Thank you ladies and I will keep you posted for my appointment on thursday.. really hoping I get to stay with this board and not go back...
I also haven't been in your situation, but I did spot/bleed for the first ten weeks with my son. Pregnancy can be very stressful for some of us. I also had preterm labor. I will keep you in my thoughts. I hope that all is well with your little bean. Massive hugs
I know what you are going through. I waited until 9 weeks to get my first ultrasound. Bean was measuring around 6 1/2 weeks with no heartbeat. They said to come back in a week and if there was no progress then I would get a d&c. It was a very difficult time, but you have to just breathe and trust in the world that if you are miscarrying it is happening for a reason. It is terrible believe me I know. I hope that Thursday brings good news to you!! My symptoms had decreased and gone away almost completely by the time I was "8 weeks", so the fact that your symptoms are increasing sounds like good news! I will send positive thoughts your way and I hope that you have a happy thursday. keep your chin up. defintiely don't research miscarriage, it will freak you out. just stay calm and go on, in the end it is all we can do. good luck sweetie!
That's how my first pregnancy was. I was incredibly nauseas and people kept telling me that that meant a healthy pregnancy...well, not so. When I went back for my follow up us there was still no hb and no growth and so I had to have a d&c the next week. I hope yours turns out differently. And it's true that sometimes they don't see a hb during week 6. I've actually seen women post that they didn't see hb until week 7. Oh, and with mine, even tho my symptoms continued and were really strong, I don't recall them increasing any, so hopefully that is a good sign. I'm really sorry you are going thru this and I hope hope hope that you get good news on your next visit.
