Worried about u/s...

I miscarried on Oct. 31st, and somehow conceived again without ever having a period (to our great surprise). I got the positive test on Dec. 16th, but we aren't sure how far along I am because of the miscarriage and having no idea when I ovulated. My beta on Dec. 17th was 259, and on the 19th was 905 so the doctor was happy with that. I just went back for more blood yesterday, and my beta is now 49,000 (!!!). She said all looks good and I should schedule a transvaginal ultrasound for dating purposes... I am equal parts excited and scared. I had two miscarriages before this with no successful pregnancies, and both times we never saw anything on the u/s. My boyfriend has work and can't be there, so I will have to face it alone and I am incredibly nervous and scared. Is there any chance with a beta of 49,000 that I still might not see anything if things are progressing well? Any insight/support/words of encouragement appreciated!!

Hi,

My circumstances are similar to yours.

I had an EPRC on the 13th Nov and got my positive preg test on the 16th dec too...I had my betas done and they were 235, 2 days later 605 and progestorone was 87...

I had a scan last sat (max preg i could have been was 5 weeks and 6 days based on the only 2 times we BD)...they could see the Gest sac 9mm and Yolk sac 3mm...said i was measuring around 5 weeks and that everything was looking good.

I was really worried that my lining wouldn't be thick enough and recovered, or that there would be left over placenta etc...but all looks perfect at the moment.

I have another scan on 12th of Jan to hopefully see the baby and heart beat

did you have a natural miscarriage? Going by your dates, you had your MC 2 weeks before mine...so I'm 6 weeks today...so i guess you could be anywhere around that mark too? Maybe abit more or less depending on how quickly the HCG left your body and you ovulated...

Keeping my fingers crossed for you x

Thanks for your response!

I did have a natural miscarriage, I started bleeding on the 31st and bled until about the 5th. It was never heavier than a heavy period with only a small amount of clotting, so I think it was very early. Based on the two times we might have conceived, I am thinking I am either 6 weeks or 8 weeks. It is just so hard being so hesitant to get excited... I'm praying to see something conclusive tomorrow.

I hope that all goes well on your future scan, and thanks for responding

Had my scan this morning... saw a baby measuring 6 weeks 4 days with a heartbeat of 126/min. I am so happy, partially relieved, but still nervous that it's so early. Having no idea of my dates, I was hoping to be closer to 8 weeks and that much farther through the no-man's-land of the first trimester. Regardless though, I am counting my blessings and continuing to pray that things continue on this path. Just wanted to share some positivity!
