I had my first scan today at 12 weeks. I was so afraid they wouldn't find a baby in there or that something would be terribly wrong. Buy baby looked great! s/he measured at 12+6 so I was super pleased. The heartbeat was 163 and I was told that was okay. The NT measurement was 2.0 mm which seemed okay when I googled it. I was told they have to look at my bloods and other things to get an actual risk assessment, but I'm taking this as good news so far!
So happy! I would post a pic but I am still waiting for the electronic ones to be posted.
Baby was very difficult in the beginning, not wanting to move from a certain angle. I finally had to move my pelvis around and s/he got into the right position so they could do the measurements. After a few minutes, there were two big stretches, and then baby moved back as it was. Clearly knows what s/he likes.
That's awesome news and I'm glad everything went so perfectly and bubs is nice and healthy How did you manage to be so patient waiting until 12weeks to have you first scan?? I had one at 6 weeks 3 days, it's since been 2 weeks and I'm hanging out for my 12 week scan to see bubs again!!
