At 18 wks, my (son) looked like a girl in the Ultrasound pics.....had another ultrasound at 24 weeks DEFINETELY a boy!!!!!!.......
With my daughter, at 18ish weeks the ultrasound looked like a girl, but I had MANY more ultrasounds due to bleeding during my pregnancies up to 20 weeks.....and all the other ultrasounds still looked like a girl......
I think the longer you wait more into the 20 weeks, the more accurate the ultrasounds are......also, the baby is bigger and I think you get better 3D/4D pictures~****
With baby # 3 .....I think we are going to have a surprise~***
I found out at 13 weeks, but that was with an internal scan, which is much more detailed. We were lucky, Alex was lying with his legs wide open proudly displaying his boy bits. I had lots of scans during my pregnnacy though so had it reconfirmed many times.
The sonographer told me today when I had my nuchal scan (12weeks 2 days) that it looked like a girl, my initial feeling was girl, but I wont be taking it for gospel, will wait until my 20 weeks scan to be sure. That said though the scan was at Kings College Hospital where the staff are highly trained, so I am quite confident, but we'll see. xx
