What does the cervix LOOK like when pregnant?

I feel like a weirdo even asking but it's my new little obsession since becoming 3 days 'late' for AF...

I had a blood test done that came back negative (and many HPTs that came back negative) but I'm still late... my docs are telling me I'm probably still too early to test, which is encouraging, (I thought they were going to say, 'Nope, not pregnant, AF should come soon.' but they just said I was probably 'early' )

So I've been looking for 'sure' symptoms and signs...

At first, I was looking at the 'position' of my cervix, because it's been VERY high, almost out of reach these last few weeks and feels kind of soft, but then, I realized, the cervix's 'position' means nothing really, it's the LOOK of the cervix that gives away the tall-tell signs of pregnancy...

I've been researching a lot about this, and I know it's a really 'uncomfortable' topic for a lot of people so again, I feel weird even talking about it here lol.

I've looked at the beautiful cervix site but only two women posted pictures of 'pregnant' cervixs (aside from the one that posted a IVF pregnant cervix) and then two other women posted 'full' cycle pictures... and mine looks a little like both, and that's where I'm like 'Hmmm...'

In a good comparison, I feel like mine almost matches the IVF pregnant cervix... still round and slightly opened and turning a little blue but completely blocked by a yellowish/white mucus....

I took a picture but I don't want to make anyone squeamish lol

Anyone ever done this and seen what their cervix looks like after being pregnant or I am the only looney? lol sorry I just am curious.

OK, maybe I am being really dumb, but how do you see or take a picture of your own cervix??? (I wouldn't... I do get squeamish and even stopped checking cervical position when TTC cuz it eeked me out... yes, I am a baby...).

lol I have my own speculum and a samsung Galaxy s3 that I can use 'assistant light' and the back of the phone makes for a great mirror at the same time, makes it really easy. A lot of girls though, on that 'beautiful cervix' site say their's is just really low so it's easy to just open manually and flash a picture... I'd say that's a lot harder to do, but I guess it can be done that way too...

and naw, you're not a baby BubsMom17 I just started this month, I was afraid to and a bit squeemish myself about the whole thing... but then I thought about what goes on in 'BD' so I didn't think it'd be all that bad... plus, I'm extremely curious about these things, especially when I'm late like this >.< now I'm just looking for 'answers'.

I was hoping to find a 'normal' looking non preggo cervix so I could get over my 'being late' and move on and just wait for AF to come because all I've gotten is but I saw the opposite!

Lol! I would never buy a speculum! The annual pelvic exam with the speculum and the opening and the clicking is the most dreaded day of my year. I almost faint every year during pap. Yuck.

I had unmedicated labour and a pap smear gives me more heebie jeebies.

They call the 'blue' color the 'Chadwick' sign... it's when there's increased blood flow that causes it to turn blue/purple... kind of like when the veins appear on the boobs during pregnancy
