you can ask hon its just down to the hospital as to wether they will or not, i had a mmc before getting pregnant with Freddie and asked for an earlier scan and got one at about 9 and half weeks so bit better than waiting till 12 weeks. only thing was i didnt get a 12 week scan then and had to wait till 20 weeks for the next one xx
you can only ask tho, or pay for a private one early xxx
I would ask, definitely. From reading posts on here, it does seem that some people who have had mcs seem to get earlier scans, but I guess it depends on your area etc. I had an early scan at 6+2 but that was because of some spotting.
congratulations! definately ask hun, it is just down to their own policy as to whether or no they'll let you. i had a mmc in april and have had a scan at 6 wks and having another one this morning at 8 weeks. it's totally unfair as some people in the same position have to pay for private scanning. fingers crossed you live in the right place...x
Hi, your user thingy says southcoast - I'm Brighton & Hove - Big Fat NO for re-assurance scans went private for mine, Dorset is definitely yes though if previous mmc, so am afraid it's luck of the draw with your pct.
When I asked my dr she just refered me to the midwife who after waiting a week and a half for the appointment told me no - just don't let them palm you off.
Good Luck, FX all is fine.
