my head is killing me

I am 9 weeks as of last Friday.

For the past three days I've got the most awful headaches. I've had small healthy snacks between meals, I've taken my vitamins, drank plenty of water. I don't know what to do. I inhibited me from napping. I'm to tired to take a warm shower. Any other tips?!?? I need this headache to stop.

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well! If you're okay with taking pain medication, you can take Tylenol (acetaminophen) but not Motrin (ibuprofen), which isn't supposed to be safe for pregnant women.

Do you have someone that could give you a gentle neck and shoulder massage? I've also had some headache relief in the past from using a tiny dab of peppermint oil on my temples. Rest as much as you possibly can.

Feel better soon!

So sorry you're suffering

Tylenol is safe. You can always try an ice pack on your head or neck to help. You seem like you've covered other causes like dehydration or low blood sugar. My doc told me to walk as that can help open things up, but I don't know if you're up to it.

Hopefully meds or cold therapy will help!

Thanks boyfriend will be home shortly. A neck and back rub is in order. If that doesn't work, then I will raid the medicine cabinet after carefully reading the labels.

I've got a cold rag on my forehead and a fan on me lightly. Hopefully a backrub will help some. Thank you

your actually allowed ibuprophen normal amount on package , no more then that but not aftet the 7th month because there is a small whole in the babies heart that will not close after that if you continue..

if you take more then that amount you can cause a m/c..

im saying this from what many professionals told me as im a severe pain sufferer and we where looking what was safe to take during pregnancy and how much...
tylenold is safe to take the whole entire time. Aleve never.

Ooo so sorry.
I get SEVERE headache after a heavy session of crying. I lay down, dab some vapor rub on my temples, forehead and around my eyebrows, and rest a bag of frozen veggies on top of my head. Doesn't always clear it up, but it helps deal with the pain.

This morning the headache is gone! Yay! I feel so much better. I drank Coconut Water last night, got a back/neck rub from my boyfriend and ate some unhealthy pizza that I was craving and I felt so much better!
