Mumps

Two people in my office have the mumps. I'm 11+4 weeks pregnant and not vaccinated against mumps so I'm not allowed back in my office until my immunology blood test comes back.

Anyone else been medically suspended before?

Hey there! Hope all is well!
I miscarried last year because I caught mumps! It's so dangerous! Can't be too careful!! I had all my vaccinations and still caught it Xx

That's awful. I'm sorry for your loss. Do you mind me asking how far long you were?

I was worried before but now I'm terrified.

I was told I have no immunity to mumps so have to be really careful of it. My midwife stressed this over and over.

That's so scary..
I got tested and have high immunity against mumps and all the others except Hep A (which apparently only matters if I travel to Mexico or South America, etc). But, still, I'd be terrified if I came into contact with it..
Hope everything goes ok for you! xo

I was only about 6 weeks pregnant hun, and my mump symptoms didn't come till about 10 days after miscarrying, the dr said symptoms don't come till 2-3 weeks after coming into contact with the virus, but this was unfortunately the reason why I miscarried.
I'm sure you will be fine hun, just be careful xx
