Which side? implantation...?

Dear All,

Might sound like a really stupid question.. but.. does anyone know which side of the uterus the cells/foetus/baby implants itself??

Is it left? right?

The reason im asking is because i only ever get cramps on the left side and im pretty sure my baby is on that side..... i also read that you should sleep on your left side when your 22 weeks PLUS pregnant.... does this mean implantation always happens on the left side??? or am i going crazy?

Many thanks all

xxx

oo i'd love to know this answer as I know I ovulated from my left ovary and was going to ask at my scan which said beanie is on. I thought it could be any side as the placenta can be anywhere!

if you a scan before the placenta takes over they can tell which ovary 'did the deed' because the side that releases then forms a corpus lutium, which supply the hormones needed untill the placenta,

as far as i know the implantation site is hit and miss although i expect it may well be the side u OV as it makes sense to exit the tube and set up home there,

That cramping is from the corpus luteum cyst. When you pop an egg, it makes the cyst on the ovary. that then produces progesterone. So,it's actually a good thing!

It can implant on either side. I felt more twinges on my right side in the first few weeks and sure enough, that's where my placenta is located when I use the doppler.
