got my "confirmation of pregnancy" apt in an hour...what should i expect?
hi, ive already had 2 positive blood tests at my Drs and this afternoon ive got to go to see the dr so she can confirm the pregnancy. Does anyone know what this appointment is likely to involve? When i was pregnant with my son nearly 8 years ago i dont remember having an appointment like this lol
I dunno know hunni...my ob/gyn doesn't really do that. They wait until you're about 9 weeks and do more than just a pregnancy test/confirmation. It's hard to say if they'll do more for you than that. Good luck sweetie.
im just a bit confused as im not sure what there is for her to confirm lol. I did 5 home tests which were all positive before i made an apt to see my nurse, she did a blood test and my hcg levels were 342, i had another test the following week and my hcg level had gone up to 6190 so surely that in itself confirms that im pregnant??
My Midwife takes a blood test to get confirmation aswell. Normally its to see how high the levels are of HCG to comfirm you're progressing. They will probably just take blood, weight, height, and blood pressure, maybe urine.
