Anyone have more frequent bowel movements in pregnancy?

hi

since i 2 days before i got my BFP i have started having more frequent bm's.

now since yesterday when i got my BFP one minute im constipated then the next minute its diarehha. you never know what going to come.

im taking 8oo mg of folic acid with my vitamins.

they are the multi vitamins. i did take the flinstone complete before and then i found some equate brand multi vitamins also chewable that have 400 mg of folic acid in it. plus with the equate you get 150 tablets compared to the 90 you get with the flinstones.

i have given up everything that has caffine in it. that includes all soda, chocolate, cake , cookies and everything.

im beeing very cautious since this is are first baby after trying all natural for 22 months.

all i drink i water now nothing else. im to scared to drink anything with caffine since it can cause a miscarriage.

just was just looking to do some kinda of poll to see how many had more bowel movemts while pregnant than pre pregnacy.

thanks

I have definitely had more frequent bowel movements...I thought it was strange. lol Because everything I read said "constipation" is common in early pregnancy. It's not so much diarrhea...just really soft (TMI!!). And then for one day I will be constipated and then the following day I will have 3 soft bowel movements... It all started at 3w4days for me.

Glad I'm not alone. lol

I was also taking flinstone but started a new prenatal pill today.

I thought I was the only one but then again I get like this during and my GP's verdict has always been that I have a low pain threshold which is why when I get the cramps, what follows closely is a phase of frequent BM... I know it's therefore related for me but who knows if that's the same for you ladies... Are you all getting cramps as well? I know cinnamum is, i just read your post babe...

I have been exactly the same, thought it was odd as I haven't been eating anything that would necessarily cause the change in the way I've been going. I am glad to know that I'm not the only one!!!!!

I wonder if now our bodies are working harder to get rid of toxins and waste so that there is as few as possible in our systems to provide a better environment for our babies. Obviously this is the easiest way for them to come out so this could by why there is an increase maybe.

I'm exactly like this! Some days it is much more frequent but other days I really struggle to go. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to it either x
