Just a very quick question. I was just wondering when a baby's heart starts to beat in the womb?. I know that its sometime in the first tri but exactly when??.I am just so desperate to get the doppler out to have a wee listen..
The heart starts beating at around 5-6 weeks, however it may only be detected by internal US at this stage, you may not be able to find it with a doppler til 2nd tri but some can after around 10-11 weeks. If you can't find it until later don't worry some docs wont try until 16 weeks. I hope this helps
