hi girls. just wondering if any of you can help me. is lucozade ok to drink? I have heard it is but I remember with my last pregnancy (which was 9 years ago) that someone, I can't remember if it was my Doctor, told me that you couldn't drink it! I am really dying to have some. That and coke are my favourite drinks and obviously with the caffine I am not having any coke at all. can anyone help? thanks ladies
i had really intense morning sickness and couldn't keep anything down. my doctor said lucozade was good for re-fueling my body with glucose (energy) to replace all my lost energy from vomiting, and i drank two bottles of it (lucozade, not vomit!). i managed to keep it down too, so my body must have needed it. it doesn't contain any caffine, it's pretty much like one of those fizzy vitamin drops you put into water.
as far as i know they are. except the mayonaise sauce on it. I haven't had one in ages so i can't really remember the sauce on them. I have been eating macdonalds. i love the chicken nuggets. I just think they are fattening but not bad for baby. I don't see any reason not to have a big mac
Sugar levels need to be watched for here so yes they are ok to drink but not LOADS. The reason I say this is when I had high sugar the MW said to me "not by any chance drinking lucozade are you loads of girls I have found this with are!"
thanks girls. would you believe i forgot to buy some lucozade when i was out yesterday so i haven't had any yet!! I'm a little afraid cos of the caffine so i have an appointment tomorrow with my nurse so i'll see what she thinks too. thanks for all your replies
