Positive test- not sure if I should be excited yet

DH and I have been ttc for two months. Last week I was hopeful since it was about time for AF. I was then discouraged. I had brown spotting for two days and that concerned me. After that I had a normal full blown AF. I was thinking it was back to ttc this month. Had a checkup with my gyn yesterday and they did a urine test twice and told me I was pregnant. I was in shock, didn't think it was possible! They did a blood test yesterday and will do another tomorrow to check and see if my levels are rising. I won't know if it's viable until Tuesday. The dr also suggested based on some symptoms that I might be low on progesterone and gave me a pill to take for that. I'm still kind of shocked, but also happy!! I was so shocked I left the office without my coat and walked right out into the snow!

So my question is, should I be concerned by the fact that I had a full AF with the brown spotting before? Or the progesterone thing? I'm trying not to get my hopes up in case I should be expecting bad news next week.

Thoughts?

You had a positive pregnancy test, I'd go with the good news and try not to stress wondering.
Some ladies do bleed throughout their pregnancies, some ladies can ovulate funny times of the month (such as straight aftera period for example)

Good luck! :-)

Thanks for the reply, I'm wanting to be happy and start celebrating but I just didn't want to get my hopes sky high and then be crushed
