low dose asprin and multiples?

alright so even before TTC I have been on low dose asprin daily for a heart condition which oddly seems to be just fine now that I'm pregnant (weird, maybe hormones help!) and I was reading with my OH that apparently low dose asprin is being used as a less invasive form of fertility treatment in which 45% of women on the study became pregnant where only 28% not being given the asprin had become pregnant. It's being used in cases of recurrent miscarriages and blod clots etc. So I may continue on my "baby asprin" treatment a wee bit longer as I have MCed earlier this year.

Now... The next most interesting thing I've read is the following quote "Recent aspirin studies also show that aspirin may be helpful in increasing pregnancy rates in all women. Aspirin appears to increase the activity of the ovaries, allowing them to release multiple eggs during ovulation. It also appears to increase blood flow to the uterus, allowing for a thicker and healthier uterine lining."

which leads me to go "well now" considering the fact my first BFP was 16 DPO and EXTREMELY strong pink dye lines. Like holy god dark and at first I thought I'd broke the stick somehow because the entire indicator strip turned pink and there were two lines off the bat so I scuttled away and waited 2 mins before checking on it with my OH's sister and found not a whole pink strip but two daaaaaark lines. The second test I took was 18DPO with a clear blue which did indeed indicate I was pregnant. A lot of the ladies on here that I've been following and reading and flipping through tests have gone to 18DPO with very VERY faint lines as indicators go... Could this indeed be a sign that my asprin therapy for my heart could have gone further and not only brought about a 1st cycle TTC BFP but also mutliples? Any insight or thought?

I'm on asprin too for a possible Protein S deficiency (had it in my pg with my daughter and supposedly don't have it any more). Also because of my 4 other losses. I don't think it does anything for multiples...just a better supply of blood to your uterus causing an easier implantation.

I think you probably just implanted earlier than you think (giving you darker lines sooner). Not that you couldn't have multiples mind you...just don't think Asprin had anything to do with it. Asprin has only helped with my daughter, but didn't help the last time (I lost my last LO in August)....I am hoping that this one makes it. I have a good feeling about it!!!

I got a bfp at 9 dpo so it all just depends on when you implanted.

I know I read the same thing about aspirin (slightly) increasing your chances of having multiples, but I'm not sure how true it is. Anything is possible, so I guess only time will tell.

I had really dark lines at 16dpo too, but I'd better not be having twins! Good luck

My lines were jumping off the test at me at 10dpo. I think that it is really just what your hormone levels are. Everyone is different.
Congrats on your BFP though... and really... you never know... maybe you will have twins!!

I had a very strong line at dpo 17. I looked at the stick right after I pee on it, and the line was already there. Didn't even have to wait.

LOL, my DH is already worried with my pregnancy. I guess if it is twin, he will be double worried!
