I have had nausea for awhile now. But let me tell you, yesterday and today have been the worst days EVER for me!! Nausea and headaches have plagued me all day with no end in sight. I've been gagging like crazy and I am super dizzy. I can't do anything...and when I try to eat it gets worse
I have a very high tolerance for pain and discomfort (told by several dr.'s my whole life) but this is unbearable to me. I can't stop crying. I went to the dr.'s this morning for and ultrasound and everything was great and baby looked good. They took my weight and I lost 10lbs (I am a bigger girl so it wasn't a concern). I am afraid I am dehydrated or something...any symptoms of dehydration?
What was your worst week of morning sickness? I hope that my morning sickness will end soon....I will be 11 weeks tomorrow.
It can be rough hunny are you able to keep anything down. Something I found that helped when I was preggers with dd was to take frozen fruit and blend it with just a tiny bit of orange juice (make it like a sorbet) and nibble at it a spoonful at a time. It's fruit so it's healthy, nice and cool on your throat and just a bit of it at a time won't overwhelm your tummy.
Honestly, I was so nauseous from September 23 -29th and could eat nothing but saltine crackers and real raspberry ginger ale. In those 6 days, I lost 9 pound and I'm a small frame anyways so that was frightening! The first actual meal I had was some pancakes on the night of the 29th and I couldn't even finish one whole pancake by myself. I thought I was going to die because of the nausea (no throwing up, thank god!) but thankfully since then I haven't felt nearly as nauseous. Some nausea but nothing anywhere near as horrible as those 6 days!
Dehydration feels like a hangover (if you've ever had one..) because that's basically what a hangover is... Headaches, dry mouth, I get dizzy also... Best way to describe it is feeling like your brain has shrunk... Might not be the same for everyone, but that's my experience anyway!
I'm definitely trying that frozen fruit sorbet idea... Mm!
Thanks girls. Come to think of it, I do feel like I have a hangover (dizzy, headaches, gagging, unsettled stomache..).
I always feel hungry but I can't seem to eat anything satisfying. I snack on crackers as often as possible and my remedy that was getting me through (ginger) is not helping at all! Tonight I drank some cold milk and a few extra glasses of water but starting tomorrow morning I am going to drown myself with water because I think it may be that I am dehydrated. I am also going to try the fruit sorbet idea!!
I am hoping this is the worse to come and it's the last hoorah and my body will get back to normal by week 12.
sorry to tell you babes that my worst week has been this last week, half way through week 11 to into week 12, but i have only just started actually being sick rather than nauseous. everyone is different. hopefully you're reaching the peak of your sickness and it will be over soon
I can sooo relate! I am at 11 weeks too and a few days ago I thought that the ms was easing up. I was still a little nauseous but the vomitting had stopped. Well yesterday I was sick 3 times and again this morning. I finally managed to eat a bagel and felt a little better. I am praying that this will stop soon because I just can't deal with it anymore. Good luck to all of us!
