Spotting and rh-negative

I have had light bleeding when I go to the bathroom today. I am rh-negative and my hubby is rh-positive. I have read that if I have spotting or bleeding I should get a shot of Rh immune globulin.

Is something I should have done today? Or should I call the midwife I'm interviewing tomorrow for her opinion? She's technically not my midwife yet but do you think she'd mind if I phoned? I don't know if I should not be caring or going to the hospital? (My hubby is threatening to take my computer away...)

you can get within 72 hrs of bleed

all it is if your baby is + and if any blood is crossed over the placenta, very rare, your body will create anti bodies so any future pregnancies where the baby has + blood your body will attack as a foreign body and probably distroy baby but normally you have a injection at 34weeks and after birth if baby tests blood as +

A&E can give you anti d jab x

I'm back from the hospital. I had a really great dr and the hubby was awesome.

So I had my rhogam shot and the dr said the bleeding has stopped. I have to go back tomorrow or Tuesday for an ultrasound. My levels are 9,262 which she says puts me closer to 6 weeks. It'll be interesting to compare that number to the one from my test last week, which I'll find out tomorrow.

That is not completely true. I am RH Neg and have 3 children, My first two are both Rh Neg but my third was RH Pos, all that was needed was I had to have an injection within 72hrs of my son being born.

You will need the injection after every miscarriage as they don't know the blood group of that bean and you need the injection after giving birth to a RH Pos baby.

They monitior my bloods through out each pregnancy and at 28wks with my 3rd son I had an injection.
