HCG beta levels question

According to the numbers I should be 4 weeks pregnant since my LMP was 11-2 and we did the IUI on 11-13. The nurse called today to give me the results of my beta levels and it's 718. She said it's "very good." I go back in 2 days to retest.

So of course I looked up the levels online and the chart said that 718 is in the 5 weeks mark. Could this higher number (at 4 weeks) mean I might be carrying twins?

Levels vary a lot and there is a pretty big range of numbers for each week. At around 4 weeks my level was 710 and 9252 at 5 weeks.

Hi hun, my levels were 5102 at just over 4 weeks which is very high. From an early scan at 8+3 weeks it looks like only one bean in there.

The levels vary so much from person to person, the good thing is that you levels are high and it means that everything is looking good. It could even be that you are nearer to 5 weeks than 4 and therefore fit into the 5 week stats.

Hope this helps xxx

Thank you. I figure I won't feel secure about it until the baby is born! But it's all exciting.

^^I was very nervous about everything hun in the first few weeks, thats why I've had two scans already......I thought I was having an ectopic due to pains etc.....it turned out that all is ok and bubs is going strong - all the worrying for nothing.

I still worry from time to time now, but with each week that passes I feel more and more relaxed. Its a wonderful journey, just relax and try to enjoy it as best you can - before you know it your baby will be here and you'll miss being pregnant

I wouldn't worry just yet, Pretty Pistol. From what I've been reading, these numbers can vary wildly. Good luck on Wednesday!
