my scan report says "normal Adnexae", what does this mean?


I look online and all I get is info about cervix and uterus..
wtf is an Adnexae.... I assumed something to do with the position of the uterus but then when I looked online it had things like "left Adnexae visable" so I then decided it was ovaries???????

I think it means the fallopian tubes, ovaries and ligaments etc around the uterus. Mine said Adnexae NAD - which means no abnormalities detected. I

Here is what I have googled.

adnexa, annexa (accessory or adjoining anatomical parts or appendages to an organ (especially of the embryo)) "Fallopian tubes and ovaries are adnexa of the uterus"

So it is just as you'd guessed.
