Anxiety hell!

Does anyone else suffer with anxiety?

I'm having a really hard time at the moment with it I do suffer from depression, anxiety and OCD which I was taking sertraline for. I weaned off it a few months ago and thought I was doing okay, but since I got my BFP I've been terrified something is going to happen.

I can't relax! I'm freaking out at every little twinge or pain! Doesn't help either that I seem to have loads of CM which keeps making me run to the loo thinking the worst

I've been having random quick sharp pains in my lower abdomen, which I presume are round ligament pains or something? They aren't constant or anything but still make me freak out!

Argh I don't know how I'm going to get through the next 8 weeks before a scan!

I'm quite anxious too. Just replied on the other thread with my bfp but I've had losses too and I'm terrified to even tell anybody until I know there's a heartbeat at least. It sucks

Omg I could have wrote your post myself! I have severe anxiety and OCD. I'm not taking anything for it but having weekly cbt which I've found so helpful. I'm worried to tell her about being pregnant tho in case she thinks I'm irresponsible for getting pregnant with my anxiety.

I have never been diagnosed with anything, but am a natural worrier. I probably do have high anxiety, I just haven't sought treatment. I had a miscarriage in April so it is tough not to worry about this new pregnancy.

It's tough not to worry at the best of times. I honestly don't have any good tips to help alleviate it, but just know you aren't the only one feeling that way. I actually went to the ER yesterday because I had brown spotting. I know 9 times out of 10 that is nothing, but I just got so worried I had to go. Fortunately they were really nice and everything was fine. You could always try for an early scan if you think it might help.

I had a miscarriage 7 years ago now, I've had 2 healthy children since, but for some reason, I've worried the most this pregnancy. I'm really nervous/scared something is going to go wrong!

I do hun. It was practically debilitating for the first few weeks. I was obsessed. I've had a pretty traumatic missed miscarriage experience between my 2 healthy babies, and I was convinced the same thing was going to happen. I had a scan at 10wks though due to some cramping and pain and we saw baby with a headtbeat. I was reassured for a few days but the doubt and fear is starting to creep back in again now. We have our official 12wk scan on the 21st so not too long to wait for us at least. I am nervous though. Mainly as my uterus was quite prominently above my pubic bone at 10wks and could be felt easily but I checked this morning and it doesn't feel any bigger or firmer after 2wks. So I don't know. I still have nausea, tiredness and fuller bbs so I hope that means everything is ok. I didn't have one symptom with the pg I lost.

Hey I'm a long term anxiety and depression sufferer , I was on 200mg sertraline and tried to come off when I started ttc . But I just couldn't cope . So it was safer for me and baby to have a dose of 100mg a day . As otherwise I'm constantly frustrated , anxious , terrible insomnia , fussy eater . Don't feel upset about needing help in your pregnancy . P's yes they sound like round ligament pains . Try to relax , I've started doing an audio book, hypnotherapy session most days. It's very good and definitely helps me .

I have really bad anxiety. I've started using the app "Calm" on the App Store- they are basically relaxation exercises and guides and I've found them helpful. I still have lots of anxiety but it helps to cope.

I have also been having those quick, random pains! I'm a worrier and so I naturally assume it's something terrible. (I always assume the worst. It's horrible and I wish I could stop.)

The pains are like quick lightning-bolt like pains down the center lower abdomen (sometimes on the sides too). I wait for it to happen again, but it usually doesn't and seems random. Does that sound like what you're having?

My first appointment isn't until September 12th... not sure how I'm going to cope with the anxiety until then!

Sort of yeah, but I've heard the lightening bolt kinda pains around 6 weeks is your babies heart starting to beat. Not sure how true that is but it actually made me feel better both times.

Just seen you're due in March, we have a 100% secret Facebook group that a few of us here are members of and it's amazing to have others there in the same boat to just talk to and give advice. Message me your Facebook email address if you wanna join xx
