Pregnant after 2 early misscarriages

So I've got another bfp which should make me 4 + 3, I found out at 3+5. Thing is I had an early miscarriage in september and another one at the beginning of November so I am so paranoid that this is going to be another mc.

Two things; one I was thinking about booking in with the dr as I'm so worried but I'm not actually sure what they will do/ say and I don't want to take an appointment away from anyone who might need it more.

Secondly I'm meant to be going ice skating tonight with some friends but am really worried that I'll somehow end up causing another miscarriage so not sure weather to go or not. DH has said to do whatever I feel comfortable with. I also have an almost 2 year old and when I was pregnant with her I wouldn't have thought twice about ice skating as the thought of a mc never crossed my mind then.

What would you do? Do you think I'm over reacting?

I went ice skating while a few weeks pregnant with my DS.

I totally understand the anxiety that comes along with pregnancy, in particular after a miscarriage. My first ever pregnancy was a miscarriage, and so my next pregnancy, as soon as I found out, I basically stopped doing everything in fear of miscarrying.

The truth is, it doesnt change anything..but yes, do what you are comfortable doing

As for the doctor thing, there isnt a lot they will/can do aside from checking your HCG levels. Would your doctor be happy to do it and then check again to make sure it's doubling nicely?

And congratulations!

Not sure where you are from, but if you are from the UK if your last pregnancy was a miscarriage you get approved for an early scan at 6 and a half weeks.
I've had more losses than babies, i understand your anxiety, ice skating should be absolutely fine, but do what makes you feel comfortable.
Congratulations

Thanks for your replies, I've managed to get a drs appointment for this morning.

I feel more positive about this pregnancy as boobs are hurting, but not positive enough to get excited yet. Will see how I get on this morning with gp.

I'm from the uk as well samstarrxx so hopefully I will get an early reassurance scan as well. If not I think DH and I will just pay for one to keep our minds at rest.

Just got back from the DRs, he was lovely and just said that there isn't anything anyone can do right now, we just have to see what will happen, but he will call me in 2 weeks and as long as everything is still okay he will book me in for an early reassurance scan.

So sorry for the two mc you sadly have experienced. It's extremely hard the first few weeks. I had a few complications at the start of this pregnancy.. Bleeds and stuff but luckily I have a healthy son so far due in days! I had an early mc last summer so I understand the fear of it happening again.

With activities the only way I can reassure you is I have a toddler. She turned two the month before I fell pregnant. Being her mum means I lift her in and out the bath. I lift her at the park. I have her jumping all over me. I have to pick up toys and do alot more washing etc. I truly believe that baby is well protected in there but don't do anything you feel u relaxed about. That said keeping your mind busy for the next few days is a good idea.

Congratulations and wishing you all the best xx

My first two pregnancies ended in early miscarriages, then I went on to have two healthy babies after that. With my first miscarriage I went jogging and then started to bleed. So with my second pregnancy I was scared to run thinking that it somehow caused the miscarriage (although logically I knew that wasn't the case). I went on to miscarry anyways. With my third and fourth pregnancies I went jogging until I felt to nauseous to do so and both babies were carried to term. So if you feel up to going skating then go for it, right now baby is so tiny and so well protected in there that even falling while on skates won't do any harm. Try to enjoy yourself and not stress too much!
