I canít wait to do this, this time around..as when I had my second, my eldest was only just 1.5 so wouldnít of had a clue! This time around he will be 4.5 and my youngest will be 2.5. My plan is to take them to my ultrasound with me and hubby as itís really literal like they can see It for their own eyes. We have a reassurance scan booked for 7 weeks so aslong as that goes well we will bring the boys to our dating scan xx

That is a great way to tell them!
Mind if I steal?
Go ahead

I have a four year old. I had a miscarriage when she was like 1.5 yrs old and she had no idea. We told her right away about the pregnancy, and then when I miscarried I told her the baby wasnít going to come. She knew mommy was sad and she would comfort me (so sweet). But didnít know what was going on.

So now Iím 11weeks and weíve only told my and hubbys parents. I feel strongly that my daughter deserves to be the next to know, but I wonít tell her till after the NT scan at 12wks. Depending on the results of the scan Iíll likely tell her shortly after, and then the rest of the family after that.

I bought her a necklace that says ďbig sisterĒ on it, and a book about becoming a big sister. Iíll probably get one other small gift before we tell her. I plan on wrapping them up and hiding them, and doing a simple scavenger hunt like thing to lead her to the gifts. Then Iíll let her open them, and explain everything. Iíll show her the ultrasound pics then too. Sheís been asking for a baby sister for over a year... so she will be happy but she does NOT want a baby brother. Judging by my lack of morning sickness this time around I think itís a boy.

If Iím right, we will cross that bridge when we come to it. Lol.

We told eldest after the 12 week scan, we showed him the scan photo and talked about it with him, he had recently turned 5 and was excited but asked constantly is it time for the baby yet? will be the baby be born this week? and of course he was asking everyone he came across if they were pregnant - men and women

I waited until after we had a scan last week (11+ weeks). We told them by getting them each a present and when they opened it they were cute shirts that said. "I'm going to be a big sister... again" and "I'm going to be a big brother". DD had to read it to DS (she's 7 and he's 4) but they were both super excited and we also got it all on video which is great!

I thought about doing the t shirt thing to and my oldest could Read it out Loud, im planning on getting it on film also. My oldest is 8, he's been constantly asking for another sibling. He says he wants a sister though, because he thinks a sister will be more fun than a brother
