When do your doctor first see you for first appointment

Ok, so this is my second child, but I had so much going on with the pregnancy I believe I saw a doctor as soon as I got the bfp. I read somewhere that doctors dont really want to see you until 8 weeks pregnant. I'm currently, based on lmp, 6 weeks. But I know that could be wrong.any idea ladies

I think it depends on where you live and your history, but I'm typically seen around 8 weeks.

I know with my first I had to wait until I was 8 weeks. It was a pain because I knew pretty quickly that I was pregnant and that waiting was killer with the first. We're WTT right now, one of the things that I plan to do first is talk to my OB about those things as well, they call it a pre-conception appointment and they give you a timeline of when things are supposed to be scheduled and when to reach out.

I know, from other posts, that 8-weeks tends to be pretty common unless you have a medical condition or history that would put you at high risk. But it never hurts to reach out to your OB to see when they recommend.

Echoing what tcinks said. I'd give your OB/MW a ring. They'll book you in for when they think is appropriate and it's probably easier to make an appt in advance rather than later as their schedule does fill up.

My doc office said OB wont see pregnant patients until they are between 8-10weeks.

I am 6w+3 and wont have my appt until Aug 21 when I am 9w+4.

You are right, last time bc I had a MC prior to DD they immediately saw me and I had my first scan at 5weeks!

Mine only wanted to see patients at 9-10 weeks, so I went in at 9 weeks. The wait was really hard because I knew at 4 weeks!
