Pink discharge: 6 weeks

Okay. Let me start out by saying that I never thought I would post on any forum a thread titled PINK DIsCHARGE!

So this morning I woke up and went to the bathroom. On my underwear was a pinkish tinged discharge. After some deep breathing I pulled myself together and decided to see if it continued before calling the doctor in a panic. So this afternoon it has continued to have a pink tinge to it. Should I call the DR? My first appointment isn't until 9 weeks.

Definatly go and speak to the Dr or do you have a Early pregnancy Unit? Iam sure there is nothing to worry about but just to get reasurance. I had that starting last thursday and even had some spotting today.

Firstly -all inhibitions will go out the window now you're expecting! I had the same last monday, panicked, called my midwife in hysterics and she booked me a scan for the next day, had the scan, saw baby's heartbeat everything for me was fine, just some kind of internal 'bruise' nothing to do with the little one. I was told the bruise will either be reabsorbed, stay (so she took measurements) or my body will expell it, which would mean more bleeding. IMO you should call midwife and have scan for reassurance, but I'm sure you'll be fine

Don't worry, all should be fine.

Have you BD recently? Cervix is v.sensitive at the min & it can do that.

I had this too at 6 weeks. I went for a scan at 7+2 and thankfully all was fine.

I wonder now if it was caused the bad case of thrush I was having?

There can be lots of reasons for it & there have been so many ladies on here who have reported on the same thing and been fine.

I'd monitor the situation & if it continues tomorrow, gets heavier of you have bright red blood, I'd just call to put your mind at rest.

Good luck sweetie

Hello,
Didn't want to read and run.

First off I wouldn't panic, easy said then done, i know.

A lot of women experience pinky or brown discharge in the early days, as long as its not fresh blood and there isn't a lot of it i wouldn't stress too much.

But do keep an eye on it and for peace of mind call NHS direct or your Drs

hope that helped good luck

Thank you so much ladies for your responses! I really don't know how women didn't loose their heads before pregnancy forums?!?!

I've had the pink discharge 2 times today. It a very pale pink tinge. If it happens again I am going to call the Dr to see if he'd like to see me early.

You ladies have brought me back to earth...I am now sane and can go about with the rest of my day. THANKS AGAIN!!
