Exhausted

Anyone else feeling like all they do in their spare time is sleep?

After this weekend I'm pretty concerned about how I'm going to possibly make it through a whole day at work without a nap. Anyone have any tips on how best to boost energy and get through each day?

Also what is with the bloat? Don't get me wrong... I'm not normally skinny but a healthy 10-12... right now I look massive

Nothing kept me awake when I was around your stage The only advice I have is to eat alot of complex carbohydrates and make sure you are eating throughout the day to keep your blood sugar at a stable level. I really noticed that orange juice usually pepped me up a bit and that if I didn't eat small amounts throughout the day I'd just pass out. Also I'd get home from work and go straight to bed..

All I can say is you'll make it sweety it just really isn't fun!!!

Also I had really bad bloating too but it seems like it gets bad then gets better, at times I looked like I was showing at 6 weeks omg!! But now my belly is just a tiny bit round.

Lol, thanks dearie.

I feel bad for my OH more than anything. I'm falling asleep during movies, computer games, conversations and even whilst waiting for him to get me a drink before we were about to get jiggy. Oops xx

I am having a similar thing today. I slept nearly all day yesterday as I was not only exhausted but feeling extremely sick. Today is much the same and I am very, very worried about how I am going to make it through work feeling like this!

I'm the same Kitty. Work is a nightmare! I just try and sleep when ever I feel tired and if that's several times a day, so be it. My dh told me that it's no wonder I'm tired as I'm making a baby! Very sweet. You'll be through it soon hun and then in to the blooming stage! x

I'm exhausted too. I have homework due tomorrow and an exam and I have done nothing this weekend. I will get it done but it's so hard to get motivated.

Hi, I am feeling exactly the same, infact I have had a bath run for the last half an hour and I am so exhausted that I haven't had the energy to move and get in it yet! I am afraid I can't be much help to you with regards on how to stay awake as I am having the same problem Everything seems like such and effort at the moment, and I am taking bad as I am not used to being like this. I look about 6 months pregnant when infact I am just over 5 weeks! My oh's sister came to visit tonight and she was patting my tummy saying wow I didn't think you would be showing this much already! I can't fit into any of my clothes, had to go out and buy some new things the other day and I am eating for Scotland at the moment, lol and get so crabby if I haven't eaten for a couple of hours. I am trying as far as I can to make them healthy snacks but I was really in the mood of chocolate earlier having been off it and allowed myself to have a bar with my decaf tea. So hun, I can totally sympathise with you, and the worst thing about it is no-one apart from close family and friends know that I am pregnant so everyone else will just think I look crap and am letting myself go, lol xx

At 5 weeks I could barely stay awake anywhere. I'd fall asleep on the public bus, which I vowed I never do because of the shady characters that ride on it lol

ahh i know what you mean! i was exactly the same, but it seems to have eased up at the moment, and i'm only 8 weeks. hopefully it might do the same for you!
i was finding myself sleeping all the time, once i slept all night and all day until 6pm when i went to work. crazy times!
if you can shower/wash your hair at night then you could stay in bed longer in the morning (if you can do this - i personally can't not wash my hair in the morning), try not to have any big meals during the day that could make you sleepy, and have a cup of coffee in the afternoon if you need it. you can always spend your evenings sleeping!

good luck hun hope you start to feel better soon! xx
