first mw appointment

hey all,

i have my first midwife appointment on the 15th march(one week minday)
which will make me 12 weeks exactly..

and was just wondering what happens as noone has explained to me what 2 expect and was just wondering if anyone can help?

also how long after this appointment will i have my dating scan??

Mine lasted about an hour, they do blood tests, your weight, blood pressure, get you to wee on a stick. They will got discuss your family history for some illnesses.... erm trying to remember what else..... they ask lots and lots of questions!!!

oh and give you couple of books and lots and lots of leaflets!

ty for your reply im kinda nervous so glad theres nothing to worry about i just wanna get my first scan booked in so i git a date 2 look forward to

Thats ok. I ended up getting my scan appointment within a week of seeing the midwife..... its so hard waiting though!!!!
