Hi Hun I had a 3rd degree tear too and the consultant said at the time I'd need a c section next time, I feel exactly the same, really don't want a section but don't want to be incontinent, I have first MW appointment next Wednesday so I will see what she says xx
i'd rather them say "YOU NEED TO DO THIS" other than give me the choice to choose either a vaginal or c-section. i just dont want to make the wrong choice. the midwife seemed pretty upbeat about the vaginal birth... but they always are.. i think if the consultant says it would be better to have a CS then i'll go for that... i mean.. i'd rather have a month in pain with stitches on my tummy then down below again!
I had a 3rd degree tear with my first and a C-section with my second and IT WAS GREAT!
So chilled and my scar was so neat. I wouldnt want to do it vaginally again. I nearly died doing it that way and so did my son.
Honestly girls you have nothing to fear from the c-section trust me xxxx
I wouldnt opt for a section unless it were absolutely needed. I had to be cut open and i tore and had a 2nd degree tear after the cut and had lots of stitches that ended up tearing out and i had to get burned shut. My baby was only 7lbs12ozs but her fathers head is huge so hers of course had to be as well. I wanted to say that after having one child vaginally, babies fit more easily and you stretch better the next time. all my births after that were easy. if you would like, you can prepare your vagina to stretch by messaging the peri. area. Kegels helps a lot too.
Personally I would go for the c-section after what you have said about the tear!!!
I would say you might be able to have a normal birth and not tear like before having given birth before (I could be completely wrong) but for me, the thought of it happening once, let alone twice would have me opting for the c section!!
Brings tears to my eyes! Hope you are very happy with the decision you make, you deserve it!!
The thing was I actually found giving birth easy, I'd love to do it again, I only tore because the cord was around his neck so his body was ripped out of me, he was 8lbs 9oz too lol, and it's okay to say do all this stuff but you can't predict what will happen if we rip again our lives could be severly changed for the worst, I will let you know what they say Hun and don't worry, getting our babies here without causing ourselves major damage is the main thingm, and we arnt chickening out so to speak! xx
