As long as the egg is well cooked, you're fine to eat it during pregnancy.
I'm a competitive athlete (when I'm not pregnant! ha ha) and my nutritionist has had me on sometimes 12 eggs a day. The only part of the egg that gets restricted is the yolk. So I would only have 2-3 yolks per day. They're a good source of protein, and if you don't have too many yolks, are low in fat. So I'd go for it if it's what your body is craving
Oh my god...for a minute there I freaked! We're not supposed to eat eggs?! Eggs on toast with Marmite are the only things I have been able to actually stomach for the last 7 weeks! So I basically ate that every day...thinking since i'm pretty deficient in everything anyway, and now I have MS...the iron, protein and B vits would be doing baby alot of good! There I was feeling so proud for eating something "healthy" and keeping it down...
This is a choice that only you can make, but I have been eating soft boiled eggs all through my pregnancy, and I haven't had any problems. I was eating eggs benedict every day for breakfast at 7 weeks. My MWs and my MIL ( a retired MW) have all said as long as you don't go overboard, then it won't hurt. I've been told I can have whatever I'm craving, with the exception of pate, which apparently should be avoided.
But then all my cravings have been the dodgy foods; like eggs, pate and beer
