Worried... spotting, cramps and crazy dreams!

Hi ladies,

I haven't slept well at all and following my dream (nightmare more like) last night I'm really worried.

For the last couple of days I've had a very small amount of brown spotting in my knickers (nothing when I wipe). Last night in bed I had what I can only describe as period type cramps on and off - and they are still happening now (nowhere near as bad as when I was having -periods).

To top it all off I had a nightmare that when I woke up there was blood everywhere (it seemed so real but all my dreams have felt so real since I fell pregnant).

So I'm absolutely shattered and a little worried at the same time. Anyone been in the same boat?

Thanks x

Ive had the exact same thing but my brown discharge was from having sex/orgasm from the night before so we are on a sex ban !! Have researched this and it is a very common complaint in early pregnancy and is harmless so i would't worry about it hun.

I have had the period like cramps to and its completely normal, they say you can experience them around the time of your af would have been or its just things stretching and pulling.

I have also had the so realist dreams ever too since getting my bfp .... mines mostly about splitting up with the oh but i think that is something to do with me being a moody cow and feel guilty about it ....

You'll find alot of girls reply to your post saying your symptoms are completely normal so you have absolutely nothing to worry about hun .....

Happy preggy days ....

Thanks hun! I could cry now - bloody emotions lol! We had been fooling around in the bedroom prior to the spotting starting so that would make sense. Sex ban it is lol!

Guess I had hoped that I would have to put up with period type pains for a while lol - no such luck!

The dreams are just crazy - I can totally relate to you about the moodiness too!

Thanks hun

I've had the brown spotting and the cramping, altho the cramping I've had for quite some time now, I mentioned the cramping to my midwife and she wasn't concerned in the slightest, she said to go to A&E if its worse than period pains, but cramps are really normal. So try not to worry, also brown spotting seems really common too.

My dreams have been pretty vivid, I wake up most mornings and remember my dreams and that is really quite rare for me.

Thanks Cookie.

There really should be a pregnancy book called "The real pregnancy handbook". I haven't even spoken to a midwife yet although my scan date has come through - but it seems so far away.

I remember every dream at the moment - and they are so realistic!

I have not had any bleeding, but I have had mild cramps off and on since before BFP. I have a reoccuring dream (many nights a week) that I am on the lou and a wipe and there is a ton of blood. Hioping it just stays in my dreams.

The dreams are not pleasant at all! But have to try and remember that they are just that...dreams. Guess it's just all our fears coming out in our sleep. KitKat my cramps are still on and off and have noticed if I sit / lie in a certain way they are worse.

I totally agree purplekitty. It's a symptom I'm not enjoying - I'm lucky I haven't had MS but at the mo would trade that for these dreams!
