Sore lower stomach...

Hi all,

I am just after a little advice please, I am 11+ weeks and the last few days I have been having sore muscles in between my pubic area and my stomach. It's made worse when I stretch.
Does anyone know if this is normal as I am terrified its not!
Thanks in advance
Kim xx

Totally normal!!!! Your muscles are softer and more prone to being over stretched. Ive had 'period pain' all the way through and really feel sometimes like Im going to have a period but I never do. Expect lower back ache too x

Hey chick,

I've had the exact same thing and I'm only 5+4. It felt like I had been working out for ages, and it was worse when I sneezed, coughed, lay on my left side, or stretched. The doc said it was because I was getting ready to expand, so I'm sure its perfectly normal It doesnt hurt anymore, so I suppose it passes

Oh yeah, sometimes when I sneeze I get a sharp pain on my right side but i just try and remember that it is a pain in me, not in the baby.
Seriously, I used to get so stressed when I got any belly pain, now I worry that baby isnt growing when I dont get it!! It will all be achy in your stomach as you're being pulled around so much in there.

Thankyou all for your comments, they are all really reassuring.
I have my 12 week scan a week today and I am sooo nervous.

At 5-6 weeks I called my midwife when I first had pains and she said 'are you bleeding?' No. 'Is it worse than your period pains?' No. 'Can you still go bout your daily business?' yes. 'Call me if it gets worse'. And it never did!
Once you've had the pains then they go away and you see nothing bad happens you arent as afraid when they come back again.
