how early can you hear heartbeat?

Hi ladies, just wondered what the earliest is that you heard your baby`s heartbeat?

hey just popping over from 3rd tri, i first heard the babys heartbeat at an early scan at 10 weeks, didnt find it myself with a doppler until 16 weeks x

I think they can pick it up on a scan from 6-6.5 weeks

If you have an early scan they usually can see a heartbeat from 6 weeks, if you mean hear it using a doppler I found my bubs hb at 9 weeks, but it depends on your body type, how low down bubs is, how good your doppler is etc as to whether you can find it this early, some women really struggle and most midwives won't even try to listen til 16 weeks. x

hiya poppin over from 2nd tri, i didnt hear my babys heart beat until 16 weeks with the MW and after that ive purchased my own doppler.

I had my first scan yesterday at 5+5 and we could hear the heartbeating via vaginal ultrasound

Thank you ladies, am just getting a bit worked up cos in my last pregnancy i had a mmc and found out at the 12 week scan. Already had two scans this pregnancy and 6 and 9 weeks and baby was fine but havent got dating scan till im 13 weeks so was just wondering if mw might see if she can hear it first at my next appt
