hi, hope someone can help. i'm 8 1/2 weeks and on monday night started with brown discharge which although worried me, i understand is normal. During the day in Tuesday nothing at all then tues night red blood - only when wiping. this disappeared after a couple of hours then nothing at all until this morning when the brown blood is back but this time with a mucus/clot type stuff in it?? i'm going for an early scan this afternoon due to the red blood and don't know whether to try to remain positive or see it as a miscarriage - its the mucus/clot stuff that is freaking me out the most???
Usually clots and red blood are a bad sign but in a miscarriage they are pretty much all associated with cramping too. If you haven't had any cramping I would still be fairly positive about the early scan. There are people who have red bleeds and go on to have a healthy pregnancy xxx
I also had brown mucus and staining at around 9 weeks. Everything turned out fine. Also had red blood at 12 weeks which so far has been ok. Try not to worry, and thank God you have a scan today so that you don't have too long to drive yourself mad.
I had a large bleed and clots and brown discharge and it turned out to be a blood clot in my uterus, and baby is growing fine at the moment! (i thought for sure it was a miscarriage aswell and held no hope that it could go well, then when it came up on the scan everything was okay i thought it was a joke!)
I'm 9 weeks and have had moderate brown discharge( mainly when i use the bathroom) for almost 2 weeks now, i've had 2 ultrasounds since it started, and my baby is growing fine and the heartbeat its great. i wouldn't worry too much unless you're cramping pretty bad. i dont go back in for 6 weeks, but at times it still worries me a little.
